The ATEM Television Studio HD is a state-of-the-art live production switcher that's built directly into a broadcast control panel, making it both powerful and portable. This versatile switcher allows customers to operate in smaller venues that lack the space for equipment racks or broadcast vans. Customers will enjoy access to 8 standards converted SDI inputs, 2 auxiliary outputs, 4 chroma keyers, 2 downstream keyers, SuperSource, 2 media players, and numerous transitions. Additionally, this switcher offers a comprehensive television studio experience, complete with hardware streaming, recording, audio mixing, talkback, multiview, and optional internal cloud storage. For those interested in post-production, an ISO model is available that records all 8 inputs for editing.
Despite its compact design, the ATEM Television Studio HD8 boasts a range of powerful broadcast features that allow customers to create high-end live television. Customers have access to an advanced broadcast-grade switcher with built-in ATEM Advanced Chroma Keyers, Fairlight audio mixer, DVE, still store for graphics, and much more. Most features can be easily operated from the front panel, while the free ATEM Software Control for Mac or Windows offers even greater functionality.
Users can choose from exciting transitions, such as dissolve or more dramatic effects like dip to color, DVE squeeze, and DVE push. Customers can even add a DVE for picture-in-picture effects with customized graphics. The switcher also includes media players that allow users to store graphics with alpha channels for titles and graphics that can be loaded as live video inputs. Customers can then live stream the results.
Thanks to its combined switcher and control panel, the ATEM Television Studio HD8 is highly portable. The front panel features high-end buttons for selecting sources, triggering transitions, and setting up video effects. The built-in t-bar allows for manual transition control, and there is even an innovative audio mixer control area with live metering on a dedicated LCD.
With 8 3G-SDI video inputs, the ATEM Television Studio HD8 can connect to multiple cameras for different views of the performance. Video cameras with SDI outputs, such as Blackmagic Studio Camera or Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2, offer superior quality with better low light performance and professional lenses. All video sources will re-sync to the switcher, even if they operate at different video standards, making setup on location quick and easy with minimal technical issues.
Full Input Standards Conversion
Each 3G-SDI input features an independent low-latency standards converter allowing inputs to be any combination of HD television formats. The switcher will convert inputs to the switcher's standard, and combined with input re-sync, this means you can simply plug in and it just works!
ATEM Advanced Chroma Key
The all new ATEM Advanced Chroma Key is the next generation keyer that enables incredibly clean green screen keying in real time for seamless multi layer compositing. You get lots of key controls including on screen image sample, edge, flare, foreground color correction, separate spill controls and more!
Fairlight Audio Mixer

ATEM Television Studio HD8 has a new incredibly powerful Fairlight audio mixer that includes pro audio features such as 6 band parametric EQ, compressor, limiter, expander/noise gate, pan, audio channel split to dual mono, stereo simulator on analog and mic inputs and an audio delay on analog inputs.
