Atomos SUMO 19SE Monitor-Recorder
The Atomos Sumo 19 SE is a rugged, versatile 19" HDR monitor, recorder, and switcher engineered for on-set video village workflows. Its upgraded 1920 × 1080 IPS touchscreen delivers 1200 cd/m² peak brightness and covers the DCI-P3 color gamut, ensuring clear, color-accurate monitoring even in challenging lighting. Housed in a robust glass-fiber-reinforced polycarbonate chassis with desktop feet and VESA mounting options, the Sumo 19 SE integrates seamlessly into studio racks or field setups.
With four independent 12G-SDI inputs and a single HDMI 2.0 port, the Sumo 19 SE accepts up to 4K 60 fps feeds for live quad-channel switching. You can record each ISO stream simultaneously as separate ProRes or DNxHR files, while a fifth “program” channel captures your live-switched feed. Asynchronous switching eliminates the need for genlock-locked sources, simplifying multi-camera shoots with more affordable cameras.
Recording prowess extends to high-quality codecs and resolutions: capture pristine Apple ProRes RAW masters at up to 6K 30 fps, or record 10-bit 4:2:2 ProRes and DNxHR up to 4K 60 fps. Built-in pulldown conversion, pre-roll recording, and custom LUT support give you full creative control, while embedded HDMI and SDI audio syncs perfectly with two full-size XLR inputs (with +48 V phantom power), dedicated meters, and frame-delay adjustments.
The Sumo 19 SE's AtomOS toolset brings professional monitoring features to your fingertips: frame guides for any aspect ratio (16:9, 9:16, square, etc.), anamorphic de-squeeze, false color, focus peaking, zebra patterns, pixel-level zoom, waveform, RGB parade, and vectorscope overlays. Quad-view mode displays all four SDI inputs in a 2x2 grid, transforming the unit into a powerful multi-view monitor.
Power options are flexible: dual 4-pin XLR battery inputs support continuous dual-battery operation via the included BattWing bracket (V-mount or Gold-mount) or direct 12–16.8V DC input. An AC power supply is also included for studio use. With only 75 W power draw, the Sumo 19 SE balances performance and efficiency for long shooting days.
Supplied with desktop feet, mounting hardware, an AC power brick, BattWing plate, and a Master Caddy II, the Atomos Sumo 19SE delivers a turnkey solution for directors, DITs, and live-production teams—blending HDR monitoring, multi-channel recording, and live switching in one durable, high-performance package.
