Engineered around a 5-color RGBAW array, this lightweight, aircraft-grade aluminum strip delivers a full daylight spectrum—from warm 2800 K to cool 6500 K—without the need for gels or extra modifiers. Its 30cm (1ft) bend radius lets you contour light into shapes and curves that traditional fixtures simply can't match.
With the diffuser installed, the Sun Dragon outputs a punchy 1,400 lumens of soft, uniform light end-to-end, eliminating hot spots and harsh shadows. The advanced electronics mix red, green, blue, amber, and white LEDs to achieve a studio-grade CRI of 99 and a TLCI of 98, ensuring perfect skin tones, accurate fabrics, and faithful color reproduction straight out of the box. Color temperature and hue/saturation/intensity can be dialed in precisely without post-production tweaks.
Built for the toughest environments, the Sun Dragon with Diffuser is IP68 rated—dustproof and waterproof to depths of one foot—so rain, spills, and spray won’t slow you down. Weighing just 2.2 lb and drawing only 80W, the rope light is equally at home suspended overhead, wrapped around objects, or deployed underwater for creative effects. Its slim 3 cm profile and durable diffuser housing make it both subtle and robust on any set.
Control is seamless through the included custom DMX controller, but you can also connect via Bluetooth, Art-Net/Ethernet, Wireless DMX, or the Atomos Sun Dragon app on iOS and Android. Six onboard function buttons and a high-contrast display let you recall gels, color profiles, built-in effects (strobe, fireworks, police lights), or your own user presets instantly. Group and gang multiple Sun Dragons for coordinated scene lighting across large stages or locations.
Power flexibility ensures nonstop production: mount a V-lock plate for NP-F or Gold-mount batteries, plug into AC mains via the supplied power brick, or run off any 12 V DC source.
