The Blackmagic Design UltraStudio Mini Replay 12G is a professional Thunderbolt™ 4 video capture and playback interface designed for live production, broadcast graphics, instant replay, AI-powered video processing, and post-production workflows. Unlike traditional capture devices, it supports simultaneous 12G-SDI video capture and playback while providing dedicated dual 12G-SDI fill and key outputs plus an independent 12G-SDI monitoring output. Compatible with SD, HD, and Ultra HD video formats up to 2160p60, UltraStudio Mini Replay 12G is an ideal solution for live event production, sports broadcasting, and real-time video processing.
Powered through a single Thunderbolt 4 connection, the UltraStudio Mini Replay 12G delivers the bandwidth required for broadcast-quality 10-bit uncompressed video capture and playback with support for advanced frame buffer formats. Built on the Blackmagic DeckLink API, it integrates seamlessly with DaVinci Resolve, including live replay and live grading features, as well as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, Fusion, Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, OBS Studio, and other professional video applications. Support for Apple ProRes, DNxHD, and uncompressed video workflows provides maximum flexibility for editing, color correction, streaming, and visual effects production.
Designed for demanding live production environments, the UltraStudio Mini Replay 12G features dedicated fill and key outputs that automatically generate 10-bit alpha key signals for broadcast graphics, lower thirds, animated overlays, and stingers. Hardware support for RGBA and YUVA frame buffers ensures accurate real-time alpha channel processing, allowing graphics to be seamlessly keyed over live video using compatible production switchers. The UltraStudio Mini Monitor 12G is NOT compatible with USB 3. Keep the following in mind:
- USB-C port is a type of connector.
- USB 3 is an incompatible signal format.
- Thunderbolt 3 is a signal format.
- Both Thunderbolt 3 and USB 3 are incompatible
- Thunderbolt 4 or USB4 are required. If you do not have a Thunderbolt 4 connection or USB4 connection on your computer (and a Thunderbolt cable or USB4-specific cable), this product will not work for you.
