Vizrt Viz Connect Audio
Viz Connect Audio is Vizrt’s first dedicated audio-over-IP solution, engineered to bring professional-grade audio connectivity, visibility, and control to any NDI-based production. Tailored for broadcasters, live event producers, and corporate studios, it converts analog mic and line sources into high-fidelity NDI streams at 48 kHz/32-bit floating-point quality. Compact and rack-ready, Viz Connect Audio ensures your audio assets aren’t an afterthought, but an integral part of your IP workflow.
On the connectivity front, Viz Connect Audio offers eight combo XLR-1/4" inputs with per-channel line/mic switching and selectable phantom power, plus four balanced XLR outputs for analog feeds and a dedicated headphone jack with solo capability. Integrated NDI Bridge extends your reach beyond the machine room, allowing multi-site audio distribution and remote contribution with no additional hardware. Tally and status LEDs on each channel keep you informed at a glance.
Unmatched visibility comes via the built-in WebUI or the device’s LCD display, providing real-time metering, channel labeling, and network status so you can monitor all audio streams on your NDI network. Whether you’re feeding a TriCaster, a Viz Engine, or a remote codec, you’ll always see which sources are active, their levels, and their NDI grouping assignments—eliminating guesswork during complex productions.
Precision control lives at your fingertips on the front panel or through the WebUI. Instantly switch between mic and line levels, toggle phantom power, solo channels, adjust gains, and configure SMPTE/EBU timecode settings without diving into menus. NDI grouping control lets you route channels into logical bundles for multi-track recording, DSP processing, or live mix scenarios across distributed locations.
Integration is plug-and-play with Vizrt’s TriCaster family and any NDI-compatible switcher or recorder. By treating audio as a first-class NDI citizen, Viz Connect Audio simplifies signal routing: feed your live switcher, archive to network storage, or stream over the internet—all on a single Ethernet cable. PoE+ support ensures reliable power and data transport in minimal cabling setups.
Built for 24/7 professional use, Viz Connect Audio runs on 12–48 V DC or PoE+ and draws minimal power. Its rugged metal chassis, locking connectors, and vented design withstand the rigors of touring, OB vans, and fixed installations alike. With comprehensive front-panel and WebUI control, plus global SMPTE/EBU clocking, it delivers the dependable, high-quality audio foundation that modern IP productions demand.
