Blackmagic HyperDeck Studio HD Plus
The Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Studio HD Plus includes all the features of the HyperDeck Studio HD Mini model, but is larger so it has more space for extra controls and extra connections. This model adds 6G-SDI so it can record and playback ProRes up to Ultra HD 30fps, and it includes an SDI loop out and HDR support. Plus the two 6G-SDI outputs allow fill and key playback up to 1080p60. There is also an HDMI input and a dedicated 3G-SDI monitoring output with overlays. Any button pushed on the front panel is sent to a dedicated RS-422 remote output and the DC power is now a broadcast style XLR connector. The front panel is also upgraded with better transport control buttons, a headphone socket and built in speaker.
The Blackmagic HyperDeck Studio HD Plus based on the Teranex Mini form factor. This modular design means that you can use a Teranex Mini Rack Shelf
to rack mount two HyperDeck Studio HD Plus units in a single rack unit, or
you can combine them with other products such as switchers, converters
or streaming processors. It might be small, but you still get powerful
features, such as 6G-SDI in and out, HDMI in and out, dual SD card media
slots, built-in sync and timecode generators, front panel controls and
both AC and DC power inputs. You can even connect the USB to a computer
as HyperDeck Studio HD Plus works like a webcam so you can use any video
software!
The Blackmagic HyperDeck Studio HD Plus records to two SD card slots, which enable virtually endless recordings. The HyperDeck Studio HD Mini is housed in a 1RU rackmountable unit but is approximately 1/3 of a rack wide. It features a front panel button control and a jog/shuttle wheel for an analog scrubbing feel. RS-422 control is supported for external control. You can also control the unit over Ethernet via the RJ-45 connector. An integrated LCD on the front panel allows you to monitor the video.
6G-SDI for SD, HD, and UHD
HyperDeck Studio Mini features multi rate 6G-SDI connections so you can connect it to virtually any camera, monitor or SDI router and work with all SD and HD formats up to 1080/60p, and UHD formats up to 2160/30p.
The high quality HDMI connection lets you play back to big screen televisions, digital projectors and more! In addition, there's an RS-422 deck control connection, Ethernet for uploading files to it via FTP and a built in 110-240V AC power supply. There's even an SDK and easy to use Ethernet protocol documented in the instruction manual that lets you integrate HyperDeck Studio HD Plus into your custom systems and software!

The Blackmagic HyperDeck Studio HD Plus features traditional deck style transport controls, including a jog button and shuttle wheel. The integrated high resolution LCD shows timecode and transport information, plus a full color thumbnail preview of the current clip in record or playback. It also displays information about each card's recording status, along with video format, frame rate information and audio levels, all on the same display! The combination of familiar VTR style controls and the built in LCD screen makes it fast and easy to use!
